Spent New Year at a comfortable and well-located hostel with very friendly and helpful staff. They offer a delicious breakfast with local dishes and a spacious, clean dormitory with proper bathrooms. The atmosphere is chill and very accommodating, offering pick-up services from the nearby train and bus station.
During the peak hours, it can be a challenge to get transport due to the busy road nearby. , there were quite a few mosquitoes around and no mosquito net provided, which made for some uncomfortable nights.

Xmas was a great time at this guesthouse. the Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. the spacious and clean dorm with a proper bathroom was a plus. the location was convenient and close to the city center, making it easy to explore all the attractions within a short walk. the Wi-Fi connection was great, and we enjoyed the hot shower after a long day of touring. Unfortunately, mosquito nets were not available and we were disturbed by a number of mosquitos. We had a bad experience with a tuktuk driver who tried to rip us off.

This hotel is in a great location, close to the lake but distant enough from the busy main roads. the staff is friendly, and the Sri Lankan breakfast is fantastic. the rooms are large, well-equipped, and clean.
The presence of mosquitos is a problem for some guests, and the tuktuk drivers can try to rip you off.

We loved the hotel's perfect location next to the lake, away from the noisy street. The room was big and clean with plenty of space for our luggage. Additionally, the staff was friendly and helpful, arranging pick-up from the transportation station at a cheap price. The breakfast provided was great and we appreciated the honest help from the young couple running the hotel.
Couldn't fault this hotel.
